The federated standards behind the trust layer

NoTN is built on open, federated standards — not a proprietary platform. Data stays in your systems; trust is established through agreed schemes for identity, authorisation and verifiable claims.

Architecture

Three layers · no central store

Your systems connect through a thin connector layer. Trust and policy are enforced in the middle. Everything rests on open, agreed standards.

Governance framework

Trust by agreement, not by ownership

No party — including NoTN — sits above the others. Participants agree the rules: who may request what, under which legal basis, and how it is proven. The framework is enforced technically and legally, and shaped by founding members and facilitators.

Conformance & interoperability

What it takes to be interoperable

A participant is conformant when its connector passes these checks. Conformance is tested in a sandbox corridor before going live.
